August 11

Outside my window... plenty of sunshine
I am thinking... school will be starting soon
I am remembering... to take more pictures
I am going... get the oil changed in the car soon
I am currently reading... Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
I am hoping... Hubby gets home earlier today
On my mind... need to do some grocery shopping
Noticing that... need to vacuum
From the kitchen... some dishes waiting to be washed
Around the house... the smell of cinnamon rolls
One of my favorite things... fast speed internet connection
A few plans for the rest of the week... getting ready for the grand kids this week-end

Apples are more efficient than caffeine in keeping people awake in the morning.

The sugar in apples, and the act of chewing, works better than a cup of coffee for keeping people alert. Sugars (generally speaking, carbohydrates) give energy, and quick energy too. During sleep, you consume energy, although in slower pace. Thus in the morning you need to refill your energy reserves. Fruits do that very well without the crash the caffeine will produce.

Outside my window... a beautiful day!
I am thinking... didn't get a lot did today!
I am thankful for... friendships
I am remembering... that i got to scan some of my sister's "old" photos.

I am currently reading... The Cat, The Quilt and The Corpse by Leann Sweeney
I am hoping... to sleep better tonight
On my mind... making lists make me accomplish more things.
From the kitchen... hot orange tea.
Around the house... clean room.
One of my favorite things... getting e-mail from my friends
